Story Time!

Now here we are, three blogs in and I bet you are thinking, ‘this lady has got to be some poser, saying she’s a gamer.’ I gotta tell you, that is not the case.

Since my husband and I share a lot of the same hobbies we have also started a collection of consoles and games. Of course, we started with what we could find, and have slowly worked our way to owning almost every console. Do you know how hard it is to find a Commodore 64?

I know I have nothing to really prove to anyone. But, we are gamers. We love all gaming platforms. Gaming is gaming. Everyone has their preferences on the consoles or platforms they like to use the most.

Personally, I like them all because as you play different consoles, you learn they all have their quirks. Nothing is ever perfect. Don’t let anyone fool you otherwise. I have high respect for gaming developers, software engineers, and computer engineers for developing all of the things that we use to play our games on. Without any of it, we wouldn’t be able to play.

Now let me see if I can even name all of the consoles we own to date.

That’s just a list of what I can think of off the top of my head that we have. I’m probably missing one, and my husband will have to remind me. It’s not that I don’t play them, it’s that I have a horrible memory. I’m sure I have a written list somewhere.. and it’s lost too. 😀

I’m lucky to have married a man who’s hobby matches my own and we don’t have to “unplug” to get attention. I love playing games with my best friend.
